Dear Julian – a brief word of thanks for your excellent performance and presentation in entertaining the Glovers last night.
The Master HR Professional next to me commented that the programme contained the ‘best of the best’ of organ music – which indeed it did, but thank you too for indulging us with Liberty Bell which, as I processed, seemed to bring a smile to most faces at the start of the evening – always a good thing. As did Delilah at the end – which I later learned the Past Master Currier had once played whilst accompanying the keyboard player of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band (you may be far too young for that reference but talk about music breaking down boundaries)!
I hope you had a great evening. Once again, thanks to you, the Glovers truly did.

Thank you for coming to play for us, and indeed very much lead, the concert at Merchant Taylors’ Hall last Monday.
You are hugely talented and your playing was sublime.
I hope you don’t mind, but I have written to Claire Humeau, who is on the events team at Merchant Taylors and said how excellent you were and how charming, and I have strongly advised her to make a note of your name and email.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
I held my Annual Livery Dinner at Barber-Surgeons’ Hall and was let down unavoidably at the last minute by my musician. Julian was recommended to me by a mutual acquaintance, and he stepped in to help me out with very little notice.
Julian’s playing was exquisite, and he very quickly picked up the Company Anthem which he played brilliantly for us. He also played two wonderfully appropriate pieces of music during the interlude, plus the Sung Grace and National Anthem. There was no need to brief Julian in any depth as he has played for several Livery Companies and therefore knew exactly what was needed of him.
Julian’s playing and professionalism was much appreciated by my guests, and I have received many compliments about his music from fellow Liverymen and guests alike. I have no hesitation in recommending Julian very highly for any similar event, in the knowledge that he will provide an excellent service.

Julian provided the music for our Golden Wedding celebrations. Sensitive and responsive, he performed engagingly to a diverse audience. Our decision to let him choose the music was the right one. The evening sparkled.

Julian not only has great musical ability but also a deep understanding in the traditions of Livery Companies. When I was let down and found that I had no pianist for a dinner Julian was able to step in at the last moment to provide the National Anthem, Sung Grace, background music, entrance and exit marches. I owe him a great debt for this and the most important thing is no one noticed the change!
